Do anti-aging products really work? Well, look at the success of the big beauty industry companies, and you would have to decide a definite “yes” – at least it works for them! Crèmes and potions for anti-aging are available almost everywhere. Many of them have been available in one form or another for many years. More recently, there has been even more growth in the number of products and the number of product lines as well. Although some anti-aging products can show verifiable success, none of them is capable of completely eradicating all the symptoms. If you are in the market for an anti-aging product, do your research as well as you can before spending valuable money on what otherwise might turn out to be a dud.
There are probably thousands of individual products you can choose among, and to find the “right one”, you may have to spend quite a bit of time and effort. To simplify your search and make your selection (or selections) less bewildering, make a short list of what your basic needs are and the information you have first:
- What your skin type is
- How much you are willing to spend
- Feedback from your dermatologist
- Feedback from your friends and acquaintences
- Information gained from your research to answer the question, “do these anti-aging products really work?”
There are various products that are clinically proven to aid in the reduction of the usual indications of aging. The majority of these products have ceramides and peptides coming from rice as their active ingredients. The ceramides add moisture to the cells to fatten them up and remove wrinkles, and the peptides shield the skin against the damage coming from your environment. “Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit” is one product that has received the recommendation of many dermatologists. The cream-type product in the kit also contains retinol. The product functions by adding moisture to reduce the number of visible wrinkles and lines, and covers and reduces the visibility of age-spots. Since the kit includes moisturisers, it also softens your face’s skin. Do these anti-aging products really work? Apparently yes.

Another well-known and widely accepted product is “Olay Professional Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream”. Outside the USA, the name may be somewhat different, “Olaz” in place of “Olay” is one change that comes to mind, but there may be other variations as well (language and copyright/trademark restrictions are to blame). This product is designed to return the appearance of youth to your face. Many people utilise laser treatments, chemical peeling, or even cosmetic surgery to achieve permanent or semi-permanent results. “Olay Professional” claims to achieve the same results without medical treatment. Its amino-peptide active contents assist specifically in the regeneration of sun-damaged skin. This should help you return to your youthful appearance without major medical assistance. Does this anti-aging product really work? Apparently, according to experts’ reports, yes.
BTW: You need to pay attention to the solar protection factor (SPF) for products you will utilise outdoors. Although the solar UV radiation that gets to ground level is not quite as bad now as it was a few years ago, it is still important to choose products that have a relatively strong SPF, that is, above 10 or 12. Aging makes your skin more sensitive to solar radiation, and you need to consider this at virtually every turn.
So, here’s what you need to do: do your research with friends and acquaintances, your dermatologist, and magazines and Internet and read the labels! Why read the labels? You really need to be certain of what you’re going to put on your face – remember, it’s YOUR face we’re talking about here, and you only have one! To assist the products with your improvements, make sure that you eat the right foods, and stay away from cigarette- and cigar-smoke-filled rooms and the equivalent – these places are deadly for exactly that skin you are trying to protect! Vitamin and mineral supplements are also a great idea (but see our website Vitamins for more information). And of course, make sure you eat the right foods to keep body and soul whole and healthy. Remember, the way you feel is reflected in the way you look.
Absorb all the new information you can find, and start looking for the anti-aging crème that fits your needs. Make sure that you read the list of ingredients for every product you are considering, because there are many products that use contents that can be dangerous for you. Make sure as well that you take a good diet to help your chosen products function. Eat foods that are packed with vitamins and take lots of mineral supplements. Think about the total picture: a nice face won’t help you if you can’t back it up with the physical condition to match. No matter what anti-aging supplements you take, none of them can counteract a bad diet or reduce the effects of any other bad habits you might have (for example, smoking, alcohol excess, obesity). Think about all your activities and habits; be sure to consider everything concerning your overall health. You can do a better job of minimising the effects of aging if you enjoy your life and do the healthy things you can do for as long as you can. Do anti-aging products really work? Yes, apparently they do, but getting a little help from you will help them look even more successful.

2 Quick Recipe Tips

One of the most surprising benefits I’ve discovered for being engaged to a gal from the Middle East, other than the vast cultural exchange, is the cooking.
Oh, yes ladies… my gal COOKS!
Which is good since I am a lousy cook. : )
Hanna enjoys it… and she brings a Middle Eastern flair to some really boring fitness/bodybuilding foods that I want to share with you today.
Here’s just two quick tips from Hanna on making the ultimate in “boring” foods — egg whites and tuna (yuck) — taste incredible.

TIP 1:
Lively Egg White Omelette
Let’s face facts: Egg whites suck. At least that’s what I USED to think until Hanna decided to experiment with my morning omelette.
Now I eat this stuff like it was candy.
Here’s what she does:
1. She cooks the veggies separate from the egg whites. You’d think this would be common sense, but I never did it and I’ve seen a lot of people just toss it all in together.
2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil with 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil to the veggies. This alone improved the taste tremendously.
3. Add 1/2 egg yolk to the veggies after cooking for 1 minute. This, again, is primarily for taste.
4. Garlic! If you love garlic, here’s your chance. Garlic ROCKS in egg white omelets.
5. Use Pam or another non-stick spray for the egg whites and cook them like you would a normal omelette. Then pour the almost-cooked veggies in the middle. Do the omelette dance.
6. Here’s the SECRET SAUCE… literally. This will sound nuts until you try it:
Shrimp Cocktail Sauce
Okay… Hanna’s bright, but this was an accident. She thought it was salsa. But I’ve NEVER gone back to salsa after stumbling on this incredible treat! I have no idea why it tastes so good, but it makes the omelette.
Try these tips and see if your egg white omelette doesn’t become your favorite meal of the day.
TIP 2:
Canned Tuna Extraordinaire
Again, I have the lovely Hanna to thank for this.
Like egg whites, I used to HATE canned tuna. Now, again, I can eat this every night without complaint.
Here’s what she does:
She cooks the veggies the same way as in the omelette above and then pours the tuna from the can into a skillet. That’s IT.
I’ve never had “tuna ala skillet” before… and I have no clue why this tastes so smooth and delicious, but it does.
If you hate canned tuna for being dry or tasteless, try this. You’ll never go back.
