<p style="text-align: justify;">Everybody goes through troublesome situations. Almost everyone has been subject to misery and pain. With all that, how is it possible to move on to our next phase and enjoy the golden years that are still there for us? We have put all that bad stuff behind us but it&#8217;s still present in our minds. As the saying goes, &#8220;only two things are certain in this life, death and taxes.&#8221; Usually, the person then goes on to speak about taxes, but as we get older, we have to look the prospect of death in the eye. How are we going to do that? With strength and self-assurance? Or are we going to cower before death and give him a victory even while we are still alive? Old age is your choice! I know what I want to do, and I think that you have the same desire, whether you can achieve it or not.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What do you feel like right now? Is your body relaxed and younger-feeling than it really is? Have you come to grips with your real age? If that&#8217;s a problem for you, then you need to get a new way of thinking. If you can modify your attitude about your age, you can make astounding changes in your life. Your whole body will respond with a more positive outlook on life, your personality will reflect the potential joy that surrounds you, and even your looks will improve &#8211; those troublesome lines and wrinkles will not necessarily disappear, but they will become less noticeable, and many will turn into laugh lines. Just think, life &#8211; <em>your</em> life &#8211; is just sitting there, waiting for you to enjoy it to the fullest. It&#8217;s up to you to pick the cherries while you can. Old age is your choice.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How to do that? How do you &#8220;pick the cherries?&#8221; Well, it starts every morning. When you wake up, and make sure that you are thinking positive thoughts, that those nasty dark thoughts are banned from your head. Think about how you have been blessed: you are free to breathe good air, live in a comfortable house with people you love and who love you, enjoy your day. Old age is your choice, count your blessings; you&#8217;re bound to have many. And don&#8217;t stop where you are, go after all the new blessings you can find as well &#8211; new flowers and plants in the garden and along the street, new friends and acquaintances, even new TV programs (hmm, well maybe not). The important thing is to get and maintain a positive point of view on your entire existence. It&#8217;s your responsibility to take care of your own positive thoughts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There is nothing that says you cannot stay active as your age increases. Daily routines are a pain, and they will drag you down with them into their boring daily cycles, but only if <em>you</em> let them. Vary your required activities, do them at a different time, go here and there via different routes and explore new areas, energise your mind and pump up your imagination with new experiences. Take life by the throat and love it! Old age really is your own choice: take control of your life and live it to the hilt, or grow old before your time, stewing in your own juices. You say you&#8217;ve made mistakes in the past? Who has not? But you can&#8217;t change those errors now; the thing to do is to face them down, accept that you made a mistake, but learn from it and life goes on! You have to let the old wounds heal themselves and go away. If you don&#8217;t do that, you will be covered by old wounds and look like the loser you have decided to be. Did you get the drift there? &#8220;The loser YOU have decided to be.&#8221; Don&#8217;t. Old age &#8211; your choice. Think positively and show it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;Old age&#8221; comes in two varieties: the physical aging of the body, and the mental aging that can accelerate the physical aging if you let it. If you become old mentally, you&#8217;re done for. Your mind will convince your body that it cannot do even the normal things that it still is capable of doing, and you will kill yourself before your time. The correct, positive outlook will support your body and allow it to create joy and pleasure for you. You cannot stop physical aging, but you certainly can prevent yourself from becoming &#8220;prematurely old&#8221;. Think about it, you&#8217;ve probably seen and maybe even known some people who, at 40 or 45 years, were already older than most people at 75. Except in rare cases, that&#8217;s not physical, that&#8217;s mental aging. You don&#8217;t have to succumb to that. Enjoy your life, right up to, and even beyond, the limits that you set for yourself. That&#8217;s how to achieve the best you can do. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want to get old?&#8221; Old age is your choice!</p>

Getting older is inevitable. It is something out of your control or else your body starts to lose the nutrients it requires. With age, your body loses the vitamins it needs to stay strong. Taking daily supplements is a good idea but you also need exercise to supplement your efforts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Daily activities play a tremendous role because you will have the tendency to slow down. The slowness causes the bones to stiffen, thus the other parts will slow down as well. Try to keep the ability to function through a healthy regimen. Your exercise program can be done with a group to make it more fun (see <a href="http://zumba.greenhomemegastore.com">Zumba!</a> for the latest thing in group dance-exercise-aerobics). You will enjoy doing it with others so that you don’t eventually get lazy. The importance of exercise will help you lose weight and tone up.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When starting a new exercise program, you need to take it slow so you don’t overexert your muscles. The muscles will be tight, so you should really watch your pace. Always begin and end exercises with stretching. It takes time to see the full effects, but with enough patience, you will enjoy the benefits. As we age, we’ll notice creases on our faces and feel pains that we never felt when we were younger (as my mother used to say, &#8220;pains in places where I didn&#8217;t know I had places!&#8221;). If only we could freeze time and stay youthful forever&#8230; However, if there is one thing certain in life, it’s the fact that we all eventually age.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Some people deal with aging through cosmetic surgery, while others hide their real age with other methods. What you do about growing old is really up to you, but there are some things we can do to maintain our health so that we will always feel like a teenager, sans the cosmetic surgery. Here a few tricks you might want to use:</p>

<li>Attitude plays a key role when you want to feel young. You can’t expect to look young if you don’t believe that you can. You just have to know that if you take care of yourself well enough, you could be just as active as you were years before.</li>
<li>Take care of your body by exercising regularly. Working out keeps your muscles in tip-top shape, thus lessening strains and aches and potential damage when you overexert yourself.</li>
<li>Watch what you eat and make sure that you take in a lot of nutrients, vitamins, and water. Food plays a big role in your health, and when you are often sick, you will age faster.</li>
<li>Enjoy life and make every moment count. Never dwell on your fears. Life is too short, and when you know that you’ve lived it to the fullest, you will never have regrets in the end.</li>
<li>Try to avoid stressful situations. Stress brings the body down. When you are often depressed, the lines of worry eventually show in your face.</li>
<li>Learn the value of a sense of humor. People who don’t take life too seriously will not go through their daily routines worried about even the most trivial of matters.</li>
<li>Take lots of fluid to let moisture stay in your body. Sweat acts as natural moisturizer and this can visibly lessen lines and wrinkles.Sometimes, we have to motivate ourselves to stay young. If you find this too difficult, you need to take time to think about all your wonderful blessings. You’ll be surprised at just how much you have when you look into yourself and the life you’ve lived. It’s always good to be optimistic so that we can also look forward to what the future holds for us.</li>
