This product is designed to return the appearance of youth to your face. Many people utilise laser treatments, chemical peeling, or even cosmetic surgery to achieve permanent or semi-permanent results. “Olay Professional” claims to achieve the same results without medical treatment. Its amino-peptide active contents assist specifically in the regeneration of sun-damaged skin. This should help you return to your youthful appearance without major medical assistance. Does this anti-aging product really work? Apparently, according to experts’ reports, yes.

BTW: You need to pay attention to the solar protection factor (SPF) for products you will utilise outdoors. Although the solar UV radiation that gets to ground level is not quite as bad now as it was a few years ago, it is still important to choose products that have a relatively strong SPF, that is, above 10 or 12. Aging makes your skin more sensitive to solar radiation, and you need to consider this at virtually every turn.

So, here’s what you need to do: do your research with friends and acquaintances, your dermatologist, and magazines and Internet and read the labels! Why read the labels? You really need to be certain of what you’re going to put on your face – remember, it’s YOUR face we’re talking about here, and you only have one! Make sure that you read the list of ingredients for every product you are considering, because there are many products that use contents that can be dangerous for you. Make sure as well that you take a good diet to help your chosen products function. Eat foods that are packed with vitamins and take lots of mineral supplements. Think about the total picture: a nice face won’t help you if you can’t back it up with the physical condition to match. No matter what anti-aging supplements you take, none of them can counteract a bad diet or reduce the effects of any other bad habits you might have (for example, smoking, alcohol excess, obesity). Think about all your activities and habits; be sure to consider everything concerning your overall health. With all the hype over people getting Botox injections for everything, one has to wonder just what it is that Botox does and how exactly does it work? People seem to resort to this as a solution to their age dilemma. Some people swear by it while others make fun of the effects it has on your face. People say that when you undergo such procedure, you won’t be able to emote feelings of happiness and anger as well as you once did. To understand exactly what Botox is and what it does, we first have to know just how this amazing miracle of science came to be.

Botulinum toxin is where Botox basically comes from. Its original purpose was to treat neurological disorders. It was only in 1989 that the procedure was finally approved by the FDA to treat eye muscle disorders and yes, even wrinkles. In 2000, it was once again approved to treat cervical dystonia. In layman’s terms, the disease causes severe neck and shoulder contractions. It was during one of their research studies that doctors discovered how Botox softened the frown lines between the eyebrows. It was after this discovery that Botox officially came into existence. As of today, it has now become the fastest growing division in the cosmetic industry.

To start with, when Botox is injected into the muscles of the forehead, it blocks nerve impulses. As a result, the muscles that cause frowning weaken. Eventually, if you are given enough of these injections, your frown lines can start to get softer. In many cases, these lines can eventually disappear. Botox is not limited to the wrinkles and lines on the forehead. This can also be used on the other parts of the face that are ridden with crow’s feet and deep lines.

How does it exactly work? Every time you use your facial muscles, wrinkles can happen. The underlying contractions of facial muscles eventually leave a mark on your face. When these creases become permanent, skin cream or moisturizer may not be enough. That’s where Botox comes in. After being injected into the affected area, it temporarily paralyzes these muscles so that you can’t make a variety of facial expressions. That’s why people who have had these injections literally look like mannequins. The results of Botox injections become fully visible after three days. The effects may last as long as four to five months and with time, the muscle activity changes, thus reducing the effects of Botox.

It may come as no surprise that Botox is not cheap at all. The average cost of just one injection in the United States is about $350 or so. This also depends on the area of your face and the degree of aging. The area near the eyes is naturally more expensive, costing between $400 and $900 per injection. For large surface areas such as the forehead, it can cost as much as $1,300.

There could be serious issues as well. Botox contains a type of botulism, which is a food poisoning toxin. When it spreads to your system, you can put your health at risk. However, if you not allergic to any of its ingredients, you might not suffer at all. This is the modern fountain of youth and this is the potion that will make you look younger.
